School Hens - having a dust bath
The hens went walkabout and found a sunny garden to enjoy a leisurely dust bath. They were enjoying themselves so much I left them there. When they had had enough they came to my door - and I took them to the gate and put them back in the backyard where they were supposed to be. Such polite chooks!

They look very relaxed and happy - nice work Mrs Johns! I love that they came to your door when they were finished. My cat comes to the door when he is ready to come inside and have some food.
ReplyDeleteI learned something new about chickens. Who would have thought that chickens like rolling around in dirt? I thought just pigs did that! Maria
ReplyDeletePigs coat themselves in wet mud - just like we put on sunscreen!
