Hens on Holiday

SCHOOL HENS
The Hens went on holiday again this summer break. They seemed to enjoy themselves. They slept amongst my grapes - perching on the grape vine - hiding amongst the leaves. They frequently got lost amongst the bush but usually came for their food.  If they were laying I have yet to find their eggs

Butter Chicken got sick and had a few days away from the other hens. Unfortunately she did not recover.

The Australoup chick has grown very fast.

 Unfortunately it has also started crowing - which means it is a rooster!




I have found a farm for it to go to in Taranaki where it will start off an Australoup breeding flock - and hopefully win many prizes for being a top quality bird!
